I am a central government employee and member of cghs Jabalpur. Only 3 Disp. with 7-8 doctors and less staff are serving the facilities to nearly 95,000 beneficiaries. Daily morning 0500 hrs beneficiaries comes to CGHS Disp. to receive Token No. which issued after 0730 hrs. Only 100-130 numbers issued each days and such a way many miss to avail the benefits. Dispenceries are far away from residential ares.

I am Dr R M Deshpande, LIbrarian, VNIT, Nagpur. My wife is suffering from Epithelial Ovarian Cancer from last 5 years. We have been very fortunate to get Cancer medicines provided by our dispensary. Dr. S J Batra and whole team of VNIT right from director, Registrar, Stores purchase are very cooperative and full credit goes to all of them for the timely acknowledging various emergencies and provided all the possible assistance in fighting out the ailment like Cancer. Hats off to them. My wife has now very good quality of life, disease free period from last 4 months. But periodical check ups are necessary.
During recent check up and follow ups, she has been advised by Dr. Smita gupte , consulting Oncologist under whom the treatment is going on,Vitamins and food suppliments that are cost prohibitive.Unfortunate part of that is the cost of these Vitamins and food suppliments are NOT reibersible under CGHS Scheme. This is very UNFAIR. Please adcise ,if any one has got the right information regarding this. Thanks
