What is the procedure to obtain the CGHS Card? My father-in-law was a central government employee, retired in 1980.
We were not aware of the benefit, now he is 82 and we are facing huge medical charges over 10Lakhs so far. Can we still register him and mother in law for CGHS benefit. what is the procedure?
Thanks,
Amita

The CGHS application forms should me made available for pensioners at CGHS hospitals. They are asked to download from net. May be most of the pensioners do not know operation of computer or may not be able to run around netcafes. As a facility forms should be made available on payment in addition to down loading from net. It saves stress and wastage of time in procuring the CGHS cards.
