My mother is a retired government employee. I m confused if she comes under state government or central government category. She was a principal at a government school in Uttar pradesh. I need to know is she eligible for Medical schemes run by central government for the retired employees. She is hospitalized as of now, since last 12 days will this be coevered under the scheme ass well. Pls share a prompt revert for this.

It is good that a CGHS beneficiary can claim from the Insurance Company if the concerned Hospitals claim exceeds the limits prescribed by CGHS. It may now be clarified, if the CGHS beneficiary first approach the empanelled Hospital for treatment with an Insurance Policy and the total amount for treatment exceeded the policy amount, whether the CGHS beneficiary can claim the exces amount from CGHS authorities.
