I have a Hydrocele problem since 5 years. Its not that much big and not causing me much discomfort also. But I am planning to get married in next 2-3 months. I want to undergo the surgery. Does that effect my sexual ability? After surgery, how much gap is needed to have sex?

No, having hydrocele surgery should not effect your sexual performance. You should not ejaculate for about 1-2 months as it will take time post-operative to heal.

I beg to differ with this. My husband had the surgery and now has a problem with premature ejaculation. It has embarrassed him for years and he is just now seeking out treatment for this problem. I have looked online and there have been other instances where this is reported. Good luck.

Hi Jessica. I have a question for your husband, hope you don't mind asking him for me. Base on what I've read here so far, did your husband went through the draining of the fluid first? when did he do the surgery? is he experiencing sweaty scrotum now? most importantly, did the surgery fixed the problem, size of the sac is smaller and haven't shown any increase in size? ..Thank you very much for your help. I've done drained mine but it came back. Now thinking about having the surgery.

I don't have any Medical Insurance. What if I cut my scrotum then went to emegency, would they just sew it and not take care of the hydrocele.

My boyfriend has had the needle aspiration and surgery and now his scrotum is bigger than ever and continues to fills back up within a week following both the needle aspirations and the surgery. He initially had the needle aspiration and within a week, due to excessiv fluid build up, he had the surgery. Since the surgery, he has had the needle aspirations again just to give him relief and comfort walking. What should he do? The doctor can't seem to figure out the problem. Do you recommend a doctor that specializes in this area in the mid-west?
