my left testical is still swollen and hard after 3 months from cyct and hydrocele surgery, surgeon doesn't seem concerned, there is little or no pain involved

So I am in my third week after having one removed in my right side. It still has yet to shrink, I think there is liquid in it still, is that normal? Will it shrink? I was told to wear a jock strap but I have been wearing beefs so far, could it just be drained? Please don't just tell to listen to the doc ect, mine was in a connection to a hernia on the right side. It was a communicating cele, and if I wear the strap to wear it is effective it is to tight around my waist area an it begins to feel very uncomfortable [hernia was near there].

Boyfriend had surgery 2.5 weeks ago, is shocked that this surgery has taken so much out of him and how much pain he has endured. He said no other surgeries, including his Vasecetomy was difficult. He had taken two bottles of Vicadin, and did not even think he would need the pain meds at first. He is slowly, but surely getting better now each day. We finally had sex after the two and a have weeks, but he is having some discomfort afterwords. He is 44 and is extremely active and healthy. He is glad it is over and never wants to deal with a surgery like this again!

Rt. testicle hydrocle without any complication Procedure followed: eversion of sac [jaboulay's procedure] had my hydrocelectomy on 29 march, the surgery was done within about half an hour and after that they placed a very big fat supporter on the operated area. for two hours i didnt felt any pain due to the affect of anesthesia. After that i had started feeling pain which was gradually increasing but it wasnt that much unbearable as they gave me some painkiller injection. The same day on evening i had another painkiller injection the pain is bearable. I urinated first time after 3 hours or 4 hours after the surgery and that was very tricky as the put that big supporters and due to the mild pain on giving the pressure to the bladder but managed it somehow for that day. Doctor adviced me to take more and more water and full bed rest for two days. on second day i felt much better to reach the toilet, supporters were changed at morning. on day 3: supporters removed,dressing was done on the stiched area, waliking becomes much easier, very less pain, scrotum swelling is as much as it was before surgery i.e. lika a normal size potato, on day 4: again dressing, i recognized my scrotum size same as on day 3 and the testicles feel bigger and harder, doctor told its common. day 5: sutures removed, i didnt confirm ny change in the size. after day 6: came home, yes they took me for that much time(it was army hosp. and everything is free). i continuously using 2 pillows between my legs when laying sideways. testicles are still harder and big but not the same as on day 3. today: applied some ice on the testicle, felt really great, slept for 3 hours in noon time and after that i found some more reduction in swelling almost 5%, but testicles are still hard like some delicate rubber cork. after coming home no medication required, just cold water bath and rest as much as possible, slight walk. very mild pain is there. one more thing on day 3 and 4 i had very hard stool and applying presure gave me very pain yet i managed and didnt tell anyone (crazy decision) on 4 th day night and till 8th day i took stool softener and that really worked. Now i stopped taking stool softener and any medicines and everything going fine except the swelling which i sometime doubt (since its actually feeling like big testicle and that also hard). will post update later
