Please help Organic Pastures get their products back on the shelves by telling the truth. their milk is 100% safe, and very healthy. No ecoli has been found in the milk. Call Chelsea Highholt for the real story. 760-275-0399. She fed her whole family the same milk the sick child consumed, and no one else became ill.
Please do the right thing, and help to clear Organic Pastures name. Call me at 978-369-5042 if you would like information as to why raw milk is healthy and needed!
Thank you,

Children should not consume RAW MILK. This is why there is a warning right on the container of Organic Pastures Raw Milk products.

Yes. Drinking raw (unpasteurized) milk, or eating products made from raw milk, like cream, cheese or yogurt, can be dangerous because raw milk is often contaminated with harmful bacteria.
Contaminated raw milk and other raw dairy products can cause the following:
Diarrhea and stomach pain, (which may be severe), from infections with bacteria such as Campylobacter, Salmonella, and E. coli O157:H7
Severe kidney damage from infection with E. coli O157:H7 (called hemolytic uremic syndrome, or HUS)
Miscarriage/stillbirth, or severe illness or death in the newborn when a pregnant woman infected with Listeria bacteria
Recurrent fevers and joint or bone damage caused by infection with Brucella bacteria (brucellosis)
In other parts of the world, raw milk can also be contaminated with the bacteria that cause tuberculosis and diphtheria.
People with weakened immune systems, such as the elderly, young children, and those with certain underlying medical conditions, are most at risk for severe infections from contaminated raw milk and milk products.

The warning label is on it because that is the law. In the early part of the last century when most milk was sold raw, there were many problems with dairymen milking diseased and infected animals. There also wasn't a consistent level of cleanliness in the milking and packaging process. It is true that people were occasionally harmed by the product and pasteurization became the norm. In the last 50 years raw milk dairies in California are tested by three different labs for each batch of milk. Organic Pastures is one of the most tested milks in the world. There was no E. coli 0157:H7 found in any of the samples tested. In the last 50 years the CDF has been very hostile to any raw milk dairy and has succeeded in putting most of them out of business. The warning label is to discourage use by the public. If any pathogen is found the milk then it is not marketed. I would rather drink a healthful fully tested raw milk than a pasteurized homogenized milk that causes many health problems (documented).
