Hi, I am 29 years old and a mother of a cute little boy who is 45 days old and is diagnosed with Down syndrome. He also had AV canal defect which needs surgical correction when he will be 3 months old. I am still coping with the news and am totally confused and scared and going through an emotional roller coaster. Please help me cope and help me with how should I proceed. I read in most of the sites that early intervention is necessary. But how early? should I start some thing right away? I desperately need help..

I am 50yrs male. I consume tobbaco (Guthka) 10 - 12 pouch daily. I would like to give up tobbaco. In the past (Yr- 2000) also, I had give up for 4 -5 yrs i.e. till yr- 2005. Due to sudden give up, I had suffered lot like insufficient sleep at night, depression. Sleeping pills were treated by Nuerophysician doctor and ultimately sleeping pills were become regular for more than year. After one year I was OK with out any sleeping pills. Again I would like to giveup for ever. Please advice how do I initiate. Vishvas Makwana

My daughter (age 4) was diagnosed in January after scoring 20/100 in her right eye on a routine screening. The Doc prescribed glasses and Atropine drops (to be used in her strong eye). I noticed, today, that her "good eye has started wandering while the weak eye stays fixed. Is this normal or a reactionto the atropine drops?

My mother is 66 yrs. old. Two months ago once she blacked out and fell down , early in the morning while going towards toilet. Today also she fell down in the toilet by 4 AM and got hurt. In both the occasions she could not remember how she fell down. She suffers from hypertension and is under medication. We checked her BP in both the occasions, it was OK (150/70 ). What can be the cause ?
