Hi ERajib,
Work up should include bone scan, CT/ MRI and chest imaging to rule out metastatic disease.
There are insufficient data for chemotherapy recommendations for those over 70 yrs old. Treatment should be individualized with consideration for comorbid conditions.
Breast irradiation may be omited in those 70 yrs or older with ER+ node negative disease.
Guidelines allow the use of breast conserving surgery [with negative margins] plus tamoxifen or an Aromatase inhibitor without breast irradiation in women 70 yrs age or older with clinically negative lymph nodes and ER+ breast cancer.
Best management of any cancer patient is in a clinical trial. Participation in clinacal trial is encouraged.
