Hi, I m Rakesh sharma and my youngest son is suffering with DMD by birth, now he is 5 years old , his treament is going on from AIIMS, but doctors says there is no cure, i want to know , Is this disese can effect his mental ability ? and if any treatment plz let me know .

No DMD Does Not effect one's mental ability, It is a muscle diseases, It has nothing to do with the brain.

DMD will not affect his mental health. Only CMD Congenital Muscular Dystrophy affects child's mental health. DMD children's IQ level is very high.

My son who is 10 years old is an autistic child suffering from DMD since last 4 years. Earlier he used to walk and even run and has participated in school athletics and won medals. But since last 2.5 year he is not even ale to stand. I am giving him an ayurvedic treatment to keep the damamge under control if not cure.

my son who is 8 years old is suffering from DMD since birth his treament is going on from sir Gangaram hospital,New Delhi. but doctors says there is no cure.he can walk slowly but unable to run. he can climb the up stair with difficulty.if any treatment plz let me know .

Presently, there is no cure in allopathic but you can try ayurvedic or homoepathic, atleast the disease will be slowed down. You can also look at stem cell treatment as an alternative.
