I am not aware that there is such a disorder like this. Glad that I found this page. Now I know. I think partners of women with PGAD are more than grateful that their women have this thing. At least, whenever they want to do it, they would not get "no" as an answer.

i think even the most virile of men couldn't keep up with a partner who has this disorder. it may sound like a dream come true but it can be miserable and annoying to say the least.

I am a 53 year old woman and have had this for a couple of years. I just happened to come across an article on the web with some info about/description of PGAD. I was releived to know there was a name for it, and that I'm not the only one. I beleive lots of people probably have it, but don't know what it is and are afraid to tell anyone, like I was. I had been telling my psychologist about it all along, so when he saw the articles, he agreed that this was most likely what I have. I still don't know where to go for treatment, as it seems not many doctors are aware of it, either. No one could understand this disorder, if they haven't experienced it, and most would probably joke about it, as did my best friend, who was the only non-medical person or therapist I told about it. Could some folks who have been diagnosed as or presumed to be "sex addicts" actually be suffering from PGAD?

I found out from a show on TLC called strange sex which featured a woman who had this condition, I thought that I was a freak and I am thank ful for access to the internet which provides more information and understanding on this rare and very distracting condition. I am 61 and the problem became more apparent at 50 as I began to express sexual expression more freely. I now I find it is getting more intense, but I deal with it.
