I have swelling in my right feet. It is not a contious swelling. My blood report for testing fileria is negative. But my feet becomes red when I get swelling. Now I slowly I am getting swelling in left feet also. Is it a Elephantiasis. My doctors have suggested me to take Hetrazane. But since I have 7 months old kid. Child specialist not allowing to take Hetrazane. Please guide for doctor to refer.

My mother is also facing the same problem from last 20 years and doctor is telling that there is no fileria.

Hi, my mother has been suffering from filaria since last 20 years, she got treated in many where like Medical College for tropical Medicine,Calcutta, West Bengal, India, Christian Medical College, Vellore, Tamilnadu, India and by many doctors of general medicine & general surgery, but to no good. Right leg of my mother got seriously affected by filaria and it is like elephantize , it is also swollen, reddish and sometimes liquid is coming out from the affected leg.Occasionally my mother is suffering from high fever with heavy pain in right leg and the leg then turned complete red and more falbby along with vomiting. My mother also felt unwell during walk.Please let me inform how can myself arrange for treatment for my mother.......

Hi,
I am suffering from fileria (elephantise) for past 15 years. i had taken several treatments from the government recognised fileria hospitals taken medicine of DEC a course of 1 years and there is no effect. Intially the swelling is very low and over 15 years it started more over year by year.

Please suggest me a right doctor to consult.

Hi All,
My mother is suffering from leg swelling ( down the knee ) from last 20 years. We have tried various doctor and all of them are saying its not a fileria . She gets high feaver once in 1-2 month and during these feaver days her legs turn to red and pain more then usual days. I will be really thankful if someone give me info on the treatment. I am really very worry for my mother treatment.
