Is this true in all the human race. Many Indians are vegetarians and seem to consume a high amount of carbohydrate but seems to also but on a lot of fat around their waist.

You didn't mention the effect that the difference in levels of protein in the studies made.

The best method is carbs from veg like cabbage, broccoli, cauliflower fibrous types that grow above the ground combined with protein.
