ift is also one of the modalties wic is usefull drain out the edema. other then there is few thngs u can add more
1]elavate the limb to 45 degree by adding 2 pillows under the limb
2)use bandge and wrap the edematous area at least for 30 min and elevate the limb.

i am having chronic pain in my right shoulder and arm. the doctor told me to give ift treatment. my wife is also having problem in her left leg, for that also doctor suggested traction and ift. i have purchased the traction kit. but in kumbakonam it is very expensive for ift treatment. reliable physio therapist is not available here. we have to wait for a long time. so i want to puchase 1 ift equipment on my own. what is your suggestion. can you help me to buy one equipment cheaply and effectively.

It gives pain relief for 5 to 6 days only. Use hot packs and hydrocollateral packs.

I have been diagnosed with tendinitis of right thumb making it near impossible to carry out every day functions. For the past 4 months undergoing IFT, ultrasound and lazer therapy with manipulation by the therapist. Shown tremendous improvement. Question is how long should one continue this routine without side effects. I am 60. Please respond. Thanks
