Re UNIT TRUST OR INDIA_Senior Citizens Unit Plan- administered by New India.(My dt. of birth 18/Mar_1945 . Medical cover has been available for me from 18/Mar/1999). I am covered by this scheme , My comments of this is Very good. I have had no problem presenting my ID card for my treatments., at hospitals.The hospital then claims the amount from New India (I believe New India administer the scheme on bealf of UTI).
However I bring to your kind attention: I have
come to know ,that in Bangalore the New India office here (in the past 10 months or so)there has been a tremendous slowness in any claims from the hospitals being reimbursed. This has has caused lots and lots of of problems to the senior citizens, who are turned/away or embarassed by the hospitals, saying that large amounts their reimbursements claims have not been reimbursed by the Bangalore office. Very grateful if the authorities could look into this at the Bangalore office. Thanks
