First of all , I have not heard or read the term used Paramedical at the International levels as ASCP, AIMS , IBMS and other nations are using .Especially in other world medical laboratory professional are known as medical technologist, clinical laboratory scientist, Biomedical laboratory scientist , but in india it is lab technician which is a term use for technician working for construction, radio mechanics, battery technician , but if you feel the importanace of medical laboratory professional , the entire work is dealing for the diagnosis of disease , on which entire treatment depends , there should be a regulatory body which work for the upliftment of the professional

It is very important to formation of regulatory authority for the accreditation and development of Medical Laboratory Technology in India. I well welcome the steps are going to be taken by the government of India as well as Delhi state government in this matter. Our government already very late in this concern but now it is very important that the formation of Medical Laboratory Technology council should be formed in proper manners. As all of us know very well that Med. Lab. Technology is a very important and backbone profession in the field of medical health care system and need special attention by the government, no one can compare this profession with the others, so that this profession needs proper dignities and proper internationally accepted designations in India also. It is only possible while well educated, experienced and honest Medical Lab. Technologists will be involved in the system. Surya Dev MSc.M.T.(Pathology) India.

The formation of Paramedical Council will be a historic step. The standard of teaching and level of education will improve which will help to provide better diagnostic and patient care services. The Council will bring an immediate end to the mushrooming growth of bogus edcational centres and diagnoistic centres through out the country. Quacks will be easily identified. The Council will not only give recogistion and respect to paramedical profession but will help to attarct more job and educational opprotunities for youth. The Bill needs to be passed at the earliest possible in the larger interest of public.
