my daughter is 8 and has the chicken pox at the moment.....looking at the diagram above it says 'not on palms and soles of feet'. my girl must be unique as she has spots on the bottoms of her feet. and although she can walk it is very uncomfortable for her.........has anyone elses child had the same.....she also has them in her mouth........

This actually sounds more like the hand foot and mouth disease. My children just had this, and they all had it in their mouth. Are you sure it is Chicken Pox.

My son is 5 year old and has chicken pox. It is on the palm of his hands and on the sole of his feet. I guess that means that when I told him that he is my special son it was true!

chicken pox virus can be activated years later as the Zoster virus, also known as shingles. it wont be the same thing, with symptoms that are similar, but yes the virus can still be there.
