Why did the study not include men? It has been years since it was realised that IPV is often reciprocal and many authorities such as the USA's CDC now publish data showing that men are more often the victims of IPV than women.
Yet STILL the medical profession ignores the minority gender that is subject to the majority of domestic abuse. 14% of women admitted to being asked about abuse at least once before by a health care professional but what do you suppose that figure is for men? I'd be surprised if it's as high as 1%.
We don't know - no data was collected on that. Which is just the start of a big problem when health care professionals forget their oath to care for everyone and only concentrate on one sex.
