Tinnitus is a perception of a noise (usually described as ringing, whining, or buzzing) in the ear when there is no such external sound. Tinnitus is usually a symptom of other problems like wax build up, infection, or injury.

1. What does Retraining Therapy mean?

The therapy tries to retrain the subconscious parts of the brain to ignore the sound of tinnitus.

2. What are audio tests?

During an audio test, patient will be asked to listen to various sounds of different frequencies. It begins with low levels of sound and gradually get louder. It is not painful.

3. Which doctor should I see if I hear ringing sound in the ears?

You have to consult an ENT specialist.
