Mental health disorders happen when a person is not able to function either cognitively or emotionally. Addiction – obsessions, compulsions, or psychological or physical dependence on substances or activities – forms a large category of mental disorders.

In our support group, you will be able to find patients, their families, and their doctors dealing with the same problems as you, and willing to share their valuable experience and wisdom.

I may have information regarding how you can contact someone who can tell you all about trials. You must write "IR Helmet" in subject line, so that I will take note and open your email. My time is very limited and 98% of my emails go unopened.

Take care!

I hope this is genuine but it looks like wishful thinking. There is no independently-verified evidence that the helmet makes any difference to brain function. One study (on mice) tentatively supports the idea that near infra-red might have a positive effect: Michalikova S, Ennaceur A, van Rensburg R, Chazot PL (2007) Behavior and Memory Performance of Middle-Aged Female CD1 Mice in a 3D maze: Effects of Near Infrared Light. Neurobiology of Learning and Memory, Though there are some laboratory studies apparently showing some beneficial effects in cell culture, i can find no corroboration of Michalikova et al's results. This is surprising since, if the effect is real, we would have a medical breakthrough.
