I am 50 years old. My wife is 44 and my child 15. My employers pick up both my personal and family medical bills and will do so till I retire at 60. Can I subscribe to some policy now which would take care of my wife and my medical expenses, hospitalisation etc post retirement. This means that I contribute from today for the next 10 years and I get medical cover thereafter

I have a Mediclaim policy with The Oriental Insurance Co. Ltd. Mumbai covering self 49 yrs, wife 44 yrs, two sons below 20 yrs.Amount covered Rs.75000 each. Last Year when it renewed, I had paid Rs.3552/- including taxes. This year, the Agent asked me to pay Rs. 4776/- + taxes which I do not understand since there is no change in age limit for any of my family members.
Can u enlighten me immediately?
