Prevenar is enjoying a monopoly market and leadership pricing because of the product patent regime in India. Can we invoke COMPULSORY LICENSING for this product in our country and create competition? This will reduce the prices and the vaccine can be given to more people. Remember Shantha Biotech introduced Hepatitis B vaccine at 0.50 USD when the leader vaccine was 15 USD.

you can get "catch up vaccination" done. Catch up vaccination
– 6-12 months: 2 doses at 4-8 weeks apart and 1 booster at 15-18 months
