Infact most virus fevers have no specific cure.We give supportive and symptomatic treatment.We give antibiotic cover to prevent secondary bacterial infection.Offcourse accyclovir has been succesfully used in some viral fevrs like chicken pox with success.

In India authorities have acknowledged that serious secondary complications arise after chikungunya. Especially renal failure have in patients have caused deaths.

Thank God I found this article. I ws just about to move to Costa Rica and I already have Lyme Disease from hiking in northern California. I don't need this too.
