" Morning Sickness and Papaya- In pregnant ladies, regular consumption of a small slice of papaya helps to cure nausea and morning sickness" so which is it? @_@

Congratulations. The study gives an exhaustive list of health benefits of the use of Papaya fruit.
In Asian countries, it is an established belief that if pregnant women eat Papaya fruit, it would cause abortion. This study recommends use of Papaya for curing nausea in pregnant women. Needs recheck and reconciliation of these two opposing beliefs.
Even animals know the medicinal use of Papaya. To prove this, I relate here an incident personally observed by me. A monkey stole from a boy a paper bag containing roasted groundnuts [about 250 gms] and a piece of jaggery. Unable to retrieve it from the monkey, we started observing it keenly. The monkey sat on a platform and ate all the groundnuts one by one. Then the monkey got on to a papaya tree nearby and started eating tender papaya leaves. He however threw away the left over piece of jaggery ( eating which people in our parts believe would help in the digestion of nuts). This really proves that even monkeys know the medicinal properties of Papaya.
