I had a stroke in 1992 at age 49. I did not play for ever 20 years because I could not sing in tune and my left had was affected [I played guitar]. One day my wife brought home a borrowed guitar. After a few days, I realized I could play a little but the guitar was so bad, I told her to take it back and I would buy a better one. I did and in a couple of weeks, I knew I could do it and wanted a better guitar. For the last five years, I have played almost every day and have bought better and better instruments. Now I play for my own pleasure and sometimes in public. I will always strive to improve and enjoy playing more all the time. Yes, I am getting better and, more important having fun doing it.
