At age 23, I was diagnosed with Adult Onset Juvenile Diabetes...Insulin Dependent. I just turned 40 this year...and one day at work...I was suddenly struck with Vertigo...my PCP sent me for an MRI of the brain and I have been diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis. I am suffering from the lower levels...but my Neurologist doesn't want me to take steriods for the MS...because it affects Blood Glucose levels uncontrollably...but now I'm not being treated for MS because of my Diabetes... I'm going to talk with my Endocrinoligist and try and get her...and my Neurologist together and find something that works...I am and have always been a Brittle Diabetic.

i think you should consider your ms treatment more than the diabetes, as the symptoms goes away, and at the same time you ll have to increase your dose of insulin, the main treatment for the ms is interferons not the cortisone.... hope u get better soon.

I have both Type 1 Diabetes and MS and I am trying to figure out how to treat Flare-Ups from MS without driving my Blood Sugars through the roof.
