Sadly, news stories this week that doctors have found a “cure” for Tanya are false. I’ve been in touch with Tanya’s. This was their reply yesterday:
“As much as we’d all like to believe the current rumor that a ‘cure has been found for Tanya’, it’s in fact untrue. We don’t know who started this rumor, but there has NOT been a cure found for Tanya Angus. Additionally, the treatment success of lowering Tanya’s growth hormone in December 2009 was short lived"
I'm disappointed that the programmakers didn't include an update that the drugs given to Tanya stopped working. Consequently, the Daily Mail incorrectly reported that the drugs had worked. This turned into a story, published all over the world, that a "cure" had been found for Tanya. This has greatly upset Tanya and her family.
