A balance in perspective, -especially in reports involving genetic screening and issues -is always healty. ACTN3 is neither the only factor of the many other yet-unknown factors influencing athletic performance, and nor it is the crucial precipitating factor towards it. The genetic variation of ACTN3 is a minor ingredient in a large and complex recipe called athletic performance. Bottomline thus goes: ACTN3 doesn't tell/ guarantee one whether or not the child will be a super-athlete.
