Milk ('dairy' milk) is the food a mother cow makes for her baby. It is an excellent food for an infant cow, allowing them to double their weight rapidly. It is much higher in protein than human milk (which is an excellent food for human infants) and also higher in fat.
Milk, any milk, is not nutritionally balanced for full grown animals, and especially not the milk from another species. It has far too much protein and fat.
Modern high volume agricultural practices also have cows producing extremely unnatural amounts of milk. Cow's bodies are warped out of shape. Their udders can drag on the ground as they produce up to 100 lbs. of milk a day and mechanical milking machines encourage infection and sores which require high amounts of anti-biotics and other drugs.
I strongly disagree that cow (or any other) milk is needed or even healthy to consume when we are not infants. And even then, we should stay with milk within our own species.

Milk is definitely non-veg since it contains fats. The fats when extracted seperately are considered non-veg but when it is present in milk people dont mind it. This is a good way of bending facts to suit your food habits

I dont agree with u about the vegetarianism of milk. Because all that contains fats are not non-vegetarian. Oil too contains fat then is it non vegetarian?

Hellow suresh, I am jayakuamr, Recently, i and my cousin brother had a debate, whether cows milk is veg or non-veg. I believe that cows milk is 100% vegetarian. Also can be called as lacto-vegetarian, it is procured without committing any harm or sin, hence, and as per the tradition they have included milk in veg-product.

Dear Suresh, if your logic says "Vegetarians consume vegetables, grains, fruit, nuts, milk, curd, ghee and honey, since the animal is not hurt for producing them" then I guess you can eat the meat of an animal that died a natural death and died a peaceful death without any pains. Only vegans are true vegetarians because they know that both milk and eggs are actually non-veg. The others have their eggs, milk and eat ice-cream that has gelatin as well as some varieties of cheese that have pork rennet, very shamelessly and then call themselves vegetarians. Milk has fat which is nothing but the fat that is found sticking to meat. I guess then you can eat this fat as well but not eat the meat. Its like fooling your own self.

Everyone has different reasons for why they become vegetarian. And for the ones who do it to not harm the animals, doesn't mean they can eat one that died of natural causes. In real life the slaughering industry is a big part of the world. I don't know about you but I see more animals dying in slaughter houses than I do animals dying of old age. Some people become vegetarians because of the abuse in slaughter houses and thats their choice. So if people want to be vegetarians that eat dairy and eggs [lacto ovo vegetarians] then don't judge them.. There is a variety of types of vegetarians, not everyone is the same.. So eat how u want and let others eat how they want... Everyone has their own reasons and issues with the subject, let it go.
