I am a 26 years old boy. My skin type is oily. I have problem of acne(since 17 age) especially very severe in winters. They develops under the skin, cysts are formed, and leaves red scars the generally takes months to fade. I feel very bad and losing confidence to interact with people.9 months ago I had taken Allopathic treatment and the doc prescribed me isotretinoin. It worked wonders and cleaned up all pimples and scars in 3 months. but it had side affects . I started losing my hairs and thining . SO i have discontinued it 5 months ago and now my face has become prone to acne again and getting 1-2 pimples weekly...I dont know what to do, I dont want to go back to allopathic treatment. Alos my father had acne problem too always. His face is pitted. Please help me and email me at : gaurav.ait09@gmail.com

Thanks for explaining the problem in such depth.
Genetically your skin is prone to acne and is of oily type.
Apart from isotretinoin other very effective creams namely erytop (clindamycin phosphate gel), mometasone furate ointment are available too in the market commonly prescribed for acne.
So i suggest you could visit a good dermatologist and take alternate application creams or lotions. They help to a great extent.
along with the above follow the below guidelines religiously.
- keep your body hydrated. drink lots of water and fluids.
- avoid tea, coffee, pickles, junk foods, chaats and spicy food.
- Drink milk, eat sprouts and easily digestible home cooked food like roti-dal, khichadi, rice-dal, soups, lots of salads, fruits,
- At bedtime take 2 to 3 teaspoons of isabgul fibre.
- if possible drink fresh vegetable juice made of spinach, fenugreek, mint, amla or carrots or beetroot in the morning
- take omega 3 capsules and a good multivitamin daily
- most important is to thoroughly clense your face before bedtime.

Hi, Thank u so much for reply but I have few queries:1. Are Omega 3 capsules and sabgul fibre are readily available in market and under which name.2. I stopped drinking milk and its product in regular intake bcoz I have heard that it contains animal hormones and that increases the flare. So should I take milk or not??Thanks in advance...and awating reply..
