Primary Amenorrhea

Primary amenorrhea is a condition when a girl has not started menstruating by the time she is 16, even though other signs of puberty, like breast development and the appearance of pubic hair, are normal. Besides hormonal abnormalities and other illnesses, low body weight or obesity, stress and rigorous exercise can cause primary amenorrhea.

Natural Remedies for PA

Hello everyone.

I'm so excited to have found this group! I took birth control for several years, then HT (with estradiol and progesterone) and for the moment I have gone completely off all meds in order to measure my natural hormone levels next month. I was wondering if any of you have tried Dong Quai or other herbal remedies? I figure that I can try it for the time being to see if it supports my health while I'm off meds. Let me know what you think or if you've tried any alternative medicines.

Thanks so much. ;)

Hi,
It is best for you to seek doctor's help, even if it is herbal remedies. Atleast when you try, worries is not a problem at all.
