Primary Amenorrhea

Primary amenorrhea is a condition when a girl has not started menstruating by the time she is 16, even though other signs of puberty, like breast development and the appearance of pubic hair, are normal. Besides hormonal abnormalities and other illnesses, low body weight or obesity, stress and rigorous exercise can cause primary amenorrhea.

at this age 27, to answer your question, i need to have a thourough examination(laboratory) to find the cause. I use homoeopathy to treat amenorrhoea, Primary and secondary. You can give a try on that.

Update! Well after 8 months of fertility treatments, IM PREGNANT!! It can happen girls!! You first have to find out the cause. I was told mine is a brain disorder where the pituatary gland doesnt producevthe horomones to tell my organs to work. You can either have no hormones, few horomones or too much. If too much sadly there is nothing they can do. If too ltitle you must give yourself injections of the horomones. Being my body never had the horomones if took 3 times the amount of medicine as a normal ivf cycle. VERY EXPENSIVE! There is hope though and dont give up!

I have been seeing a reproductive endocrinologist. I did a about 3 months of the medication Menopur. I did have one month were I produced 2 18mm follies. We did and IUI, but it didn't work. I developed a cyst and was put on BC. We tried another cycle of Brivlle, I did not respond at all with this medication! I am taking break and my RE told me to take the Vivelle Dot for 3 months and Progesterone for 10 days to get my period. Well...I did the vivelle dot for 3 months and only took the progesterone for 2 days before I got my period. Shocked, because I usually need the 10 days of meds. For the next to cycles I got my period with out any need for the progesterone! :) I feel almost normal. I say my doctor today and he suggest I keep on the vivelle dot and we start clomid. Has anyone experienced this before or had this type of treatment?
