Cystoscopy is quite a safe procedure whereby the doctor inserts a small instrument with lenses inside the urethra to visualize the urinary bladder. Once he instrument is withdrawn you might feel slight burning sensation in the urethra .Do not worry but be sure to drink plenty of water. Sometimes small drops of blood can be shed in the urine. But here again it is nothing to worry because it will usually resolve in a day or two.
