It is really important that both parents are involved in a child's life. Even though the parents are already separated, they should really make time to be able to spend time with their children. Not only is it for the benefit of their kids but also for themselves.

A great many children do not see their fathers after separation because their fathers choose not to see them. There are over 240,000 fathers who make no financial contribution towards the care of their children and do not seek or want contact with those children. Courts give contact to fathers automatically even if the father has taken no interest in the child, or has abused them In short, many children do not see their fathers because their fathers choose not to see them.
