I wish to advise you of my new, peer-reviewed, paper in the Employee Responsibilities and Rights Journal. By going to the link below you may read the editor's introduction to the paper Introduction to “Human Resource Responsibilities: Frequent Flyer Radiation Exposure.” Look down about 5 articles from the top of the list. The paper itself is also available in this "online first" version prior to its publication in the next issue. Unfortunately Springer wants $34 to read it. Basically, it makes the case that there are almost half a million business frequent flyers who exceed the radiation exposure permitted legally from ground-based business, industrial and medical sources because of their exposure to high levels of cosmic radiation in aircraft. It outlines some of the risks, particularly for pregnant travelers and points to the potential issues of liability for employers who fail to warn their staff about this issue. A Google search on my name and "radiation" will pull up many references that will establish my bona fides in this area. I also serve as a radiation consultant to the New York Times.
