Paranoid personality disorder is a psychiatric diagnosis characterized by paranoia and a pervasive distrust of longstanding and widespread distrust of others. Those who are hypersensitive state, are easily offended, and usually relate to the world by vigilant scanning of the environment for clues or suggestions to validate their harmful ideas or prejudices. Paranoid individuals are keen observers. They think they are in danger and for signs and threats of danger, regardless of any facts.
