It is well known in the health care field [i am a hospice nurse] that millions of people in their late 40's to 50's are dying due to cirrhosis. It would make sense for more to be done regarding alchoholism research and research on the liver in regards to the disease process. People generally do not know they are dying of cirrhosis until it is to late for the liver to recover.
