Global warming already contributes to more than 150,000 deaths and 5 million illnesses annually. According to a team of health and climate scientists at the World Health Organization and the University of Wisconsin, those numbers could double by 2030. Those who are least responsible for the greenhouse gases are most affected.

Global warming happens when greenhouse gases carbon dioxide, water vapor, nitrous oxide, and methane trap heat and light from the sun in the earth’s atmosphere, which increases the temperature. With too many greenhouse gasses in air, the earth’s atmosphere will trap too much heat and earth will get hot.
