I believe extinction of the human race in the near future is unavoidable. As predicted by Frank Fenner, it is quite possible that the human race may end in 100 years, given the emergence of catastrophic events, like inflation, food shortage, drinking water scarcity,adverse climate changes, political unrest, global warming,rapid urbanisation, foolish policies of governments in support of the polluting industries and traders, breakdown of the human waste disposable systems in third world countries giving rise to epidemics of diseases caused by mutated microorganisms. All these factors are hostile to human existence, and critical combination of these factors will cause an extinction of human species in this anthropocene geological period marked by man made potentially catastrophic environmental changes. Record shows that many animal species have become extinct in the past. As man is also an animal his extinction is avoidable as he he is digging his own grave.The process of extermination may start from third world countries because of foolish governments.
