I don't think the insect in the photo is a brown recluse. It is not brown, and has thin spindly legs like a black widow spider, and it has a red patch on it's abdomen, also like a black widow spider, not to mention that it doesn't have the classic violin on it's upper body. So, i think you may have an inaccurate photo associated with
the story.
