I do understand and sympathize completely in this situation. As a Canadian living in Korea for 10 years, I have been refused service, denied taxis, shouted at, including 'Yankee go home!' although I am a Canadian, not American. I have been shut out from school and work gatherings. It's very difficult, and I hope we can all learn from understanding what it is like when the shoe is on the other foot. Thankfully Canada has minority advocacy and Anti-discrimination laws, though they are absent where I live..
