Barcelona (Spain) is appallingly noisy but local politicians hardly seem to be aware of the problem and are even less disposed to do anything about it. Shoddy construction standards and lack of effective sound insulation in buildings only makes things worse. Anyone considering relocating to Barcelona take note.
