Hi i have recently gone through the same traumatic experience. i done the 48hr test and then proceeded to dye my hair. The next day my head neck and ears were burning and my ears were all swollen then my head and ears started 2 weep making it hard for me to wash my hair. i went to the docs and she prescribed me with flucloxicilin and anti histamines then 2 days later i woke to find my right eye a little bit swollen. my 2 year old daughter was still asleep so i took my tablets and decided to go back to bed for an hour. Literally an hour later i woke and my right eye was completely shut to where you couldnt see my eyelashes. the pressure on it was so painfull then my sister came round and said my left eye was starting to go the same way, i was so scared i thought i was going to be blind whilst caring for a 2 year old. i went to hospital for 2 days and was given steroids. it has taken 3 weeks for it all to clear and for me to pluck up the courage to leave my house. i have never been so traumatised and have been put off hair dye for the rest of my life. i have been using the same hair dye for 6 years and never had a reaction before

Similiar thing just happened to me. I had been using Nice and Easy with no problems for a while but this last time I did it (blue black) it caused my neck to compelely break out in hives, then my scalp and ears began to weep. Soon my entire body was covered in hives and my eyes were totally swelled up. I went to the ER where they loaded me up with meds and it has taken me almost a month to make a recovery. I am no longer using Nice and Easy. I have to get it professionally done.
