This may not be such a great news after all. Though women are well suited to take care of sick patients. They do not fit into many specialties that may require long hrs. The other problem is many like to be part time and many after taking a sabbatical for a couple of yrs never get back and practice medicine. many are content just being housewives. At least this is the situation currently in India and some other Asian countries.
