Some persons are so sensitive to hot asphalt fumes that they can't live near a city. If accidentally exposed, they have to make a beeline for the nearest emergency room for an injection of major tranquilizer before the psychosis hits. I wonder how many other episodes of mental illness are triggered by the same cause, with the trigger not yet identified, and how many productive lives have been derailed as a result.
