It is a pity that people in Mozambique reacted so vehemently, and resulted in death of innocent people,in actual fact the aid workers were trying to help the community to curb the cholera outbreak. However the first step that aid workers should do before starting their operations is to firstly mobilize the community ,to make sure that the community understands very well the purpose of their actions at this stage aid workers should deal with myths and misconceptions and try to involve traditional chiefs who normaly have respect and effective power to eliminate myths and misconceptions and bring a sense of appreciation in the community.Misinformation remains a big challenge in connection with myths, misconceptions and cultural values.Consequently, when there is mutual understanding the aid workers may continue and with the involvement of the local authorities in this regard traditional chiefs.
