I suppose the Catholic Church is expecting the Philippines to be able to support the current population level of Indonesia within 25 or 30 years -- because that's where the Philippines is going. The question is not WHETHER birth control, but WHEN. And whether it will be HUMAN GUIDED (and, thus, humane) or enforced by nature. Catholic ideology can not trump physics, folks.
