As you can see from this article, orangutans are truly special beings. Unfortunately, they are being pushed to the brink of extinction in the wild as palm oil plantations replace their forest habitat in Borneo and Sumatra. Orangutans need our protection. If you want to learn more about them and see what you can do to help them,

You seem to have used a photo of a chimpanzee along with the article. Chimps are African Great Apes. Orangutans, the only Asian Great Apes, live exclusively on the islands of Borneo and Sumatra.
