One simple measure that the federal government could introduce that would actually save money, reduce environmental waste and reduce traffic congestion: remove compulsion on cycle helmets.
Helmet compulsion reduces riding by about 25% and has no benefit on rates of head injuries *per cycling kilometre*.
The law is a failure and the government should give up its self-importance, admit its failure and rescind the law.

This report states that 70 percent of men and 60 percent of women aged 45-65 had a body mass index of 25 or more, meaning they were overweight or obese.
Here is the problem, if people have a BMI of 25-30 they are NOT obese. So how can we say we are more obese when the report has the overweight and obese combined!
Also the age group of 45-65 does not represent the entire country so we shouldnt talk like it does. According to the beuro of statistics, the age of 15 years plus excepts people as adult. Why were they not included in the statistics?
My last point is that the project included 14,000 people over 1 day of counting. This means that these statistics that are representing the country were done on only 6% of the country. This should never be published.
