Your assumption that addiction problems are simply neurological is misleading and alienating to those of us who are effectively treating addiction with methods as diverse as nutritional therapy, full sauna detoxification, and life skills to assist the individual in handling the stresses of modern life without drugs or invasive surgical procedures. It is elitist and shows a shallow or total lack of understanding and compassion for those suffering from addiction. There are lots of workable options out there if one cares to look.
