Today is 5th July 2009 A Polio Day, I never missed any of the Polio day since it started, I was actively involved in promoting the day, but unfortunately Today I took my child with four other children of my colony and I traveled almost all over the city that is Jabalpur India but I never found any representative for the same.... My question from the organization... Are we serious towards eradication of polio from India??? Is the Television Advertisements are enough to educate people????

It is amazing that you can write this great article about Polio Eradication and never mention that the entire Polio Eradication campaign was started by Rotary International which is still the very heart of the effort, leads the world in Donations by a private entity,(about US$700M to date) and leads the world in volunteer days provided. The voluntary effort made by our citizens may be a vital factor in ensuring the success of the program. If we commit ourselves to reach every child, Polio will soon be history.
